Senior Software Systems Engineer. £50k - £58k Neg + Bonus.

An exciting opportunity to join a well established, high-tech company that operates on a global basis - this role will lead a small team in R&D projects mainly on NPI and NPD. The focus is to develop robust and innovative embedded software system solutions and be involved in the entire life cycle of product development but with specific focus on providing technical input into both the initial system architectural definition and detailed design stages and the compliance / verification stages. You will be responsible for product level system architecture design and development and undertake software requirements analysis, concept proposals and top-level design/ architecture, detailed design and coding tasks.
Key skills we are looking for will include: C++ and C Programming; Real Time Multi-threaded Operating System knowledge; interfacing with firmware in devices including FPGAs, micro-controllers and CPLDs etc. (from a software perspective); working knowledge of Boost, STL, Design Patterns; UML / SYSML.
We would also like 2 from: Software Engineering Principles - Life Cycles, Methodologies (Object Orientated preferred); Electronic hardware to software interfacing and microprocessor architectures from a software perspective; Embedded Software testing methods; System Simulation / system performance modelling experience; Design and creation of software test harnesses and automated testing strategies.
