Materials Planning Analyst West of Maidstone, Kent £Neg
Looking for a Materials Planner or Analyst who has a strong interest in data analysis who will be responsible for the functional operations, distributing spare parts for this producer of luxury items, which is global household name company.
Responsible for overseeing the identification, supply and distribution of spare parts which demands fast and precise work, able to work autonomously, apply critical thinking ability in day-to-day decision-making and problem solving. This is a pivotal role in perpetuating the company’s product experience, providing outstanding customer service, internally and externally. Key areas of focus will include supporting management of the ERP systems, with scheduled regression testing and a continuous focus on improvement. In addition, the role will focus on ensuring quick and efficient process flows are continuously maintained throughout the Spare Parts department, and motivating the team to inspire, achieve and maintain a productive team ethos and spirit. The role is responsible for communicating high-level reports such as monthly consumptions/stock anomalies/MRP analysis to the Materials Manager.
? Implements loss prevention procedures and practices.
? Correspond with IT colleagues in Switzerland regarding Systems matters.
? Corresponds with Swiss colleagues on a regular basis.
Planning
? Organise daily, weekly and monthly workflows.
? Monitor and amend stock parameters, where necessary, to meet supply and demand.
? Disclose stock delays/issues to relevant departments that may impede the completion of works.
? Identifies bottlenecks and corrective measures for improved workflows.
? Plans and executes cycle-counts to ensure frequent and accurate reconciliation of inventory across sites
? Generate monitoring systems that identify whether self, others or the organisation are achieving their objectives and also any variances there may be in terms of goals and timescales. Ensure that corrective action plans are formulated and implemented.
? Search out errors, rectify omissions, perfect systems and procedures which will ultimately raise the quality and standards of all tasks undertaken.
People
? Act as Team Leader in the absence of the Materials Manager
? Contribute to the annual performance review process and recruitment of new team members where relevant.
? Identify any training needs for team members to the Materials Manager.
The role would suit someone who is both creative and results-orientated. Concern for the consequences of action and alertness to quality and standards may well be key aspects in this job. The position could involve a variety of activities in which emphasis is placed upon achieving results through a logical and factual manner. Standard operating procedures, challenging assignments and the adherence to rules and procedure are integral to the function.
Essential
? Educated to minimum A-level standard or 5 years’ experience in a similar or comparable role
? ERP / MRP systems
? Strong data analysis skills
? Experienced in spare parts, inventory management and production planning.
? Strong leadership skills
? Strong PC skills, especially Outlook, Excel and Business Intelligence Reporting
? A good communicator with the ability to communicate complex ideas and is able to influence and build positive co-operation
? Previous administration experience
? Numerical proficiency
