Maintenance Engineer / Technician. £32k - £40k Neg.

    We are looking for an experienced maintenance engineer / technician to join our well established client in the FMCG / food industry. The role is Monday to Friday; 6 am to 2 pm; then midday (12:00) to 8 pm rotating on a weekly basis. Main duties are: maintaining and servicing the plant, equipment and associated services supporting a multi-function team covering both mechanical and electrical areas. Responsibilities include the maintenance, servicing, testing of all plant and equipment and associated facilities, ensuring statutory compliance to standards and practices at all times. Fault finding and repair both with other shift engineers and outside contractors are daily tasks, ensuring safe contractor control at all times.

  Ideally you will be trained to engineer standards: City & Guilds or equivalent, HNC / ONC. Electrical competence to 17th edition wiring regulations advantageous. FMCG background is ideal, in addition to some PLC experience which is advantageous, we would like to see some experience on packaging machinery, flow/shrink wrappers, fillers, labellers, palletisers, printers etc.
